Director of the Office of Community Affairs participated at the annual conference of the Kosovo Policy Action Network – KPAN


On Saturday 21 April, Director of the Office for Community Affairs, Mr. Srdjan Popovic attended the annual conference of the Kosovo strategic - Action Network (KSAM) which brings together 95 non-governmental organizations. After the welcomed words of the conference host, Mr. Popovic has congratulated the the Kosovo Policy Action Network - KPAN on their commitment and achieved results so far.

He also said that the Prime Minister's Office / Office of Community Affairs has cooperation with many civil society organizations, and stressed out that in the future need to be invest more in establishing of sustainable partnership between civil society organizations, institutions on local and central level, medias, and international organizations in order to achieve desirable results.  "Your responsibility is great and we are aware of the fact that many important issues, initiated by civil society organizations and that’s why strong and developed civil society is the main partner of any change and reform process in society. " said Mr. Popovic.

He used this opportunity remind civil society organizations that the Office of Community Affairs has opened a call for proposals for NGO`s that can submit their projects for funding until 8 May.

The participants were also welcomed by His Excellency Ambassador Del Christoffel, and Mr. Robert Garnett, head of Mercy Corps (Mercy Corps).

The conference was also attended by the Ambassadors of Norway, Great Britain, and other relevant representatives of international organizations, civil society and media.
